Dresses That Changed My Life

The following is a list, in chronological order, of dress moments in movie history that changed my life.

MSDGREA EC023I always felt like Cha Cha DiGregorio got a bad rap.  She just wanted to dance.  And that dress…. I wanted it more than any My Little Pony or Barbie.  I imagined myself at my senior prom accepting my prom queen crown in that dress.  Neither ever happened.

pretty in pink afterPretty in Pink, in my opinion, is the no. 1 all time best 80s movie.  I still shed a tear when daddy comes in with the goodwill dress for Andy to recreate . Don’t get me wrong, the dress she makes is hideous.  But the idea that a girl from the wrong side of the tracks can go to prom and land the rich guy still makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

roses-dinner-dressFor those of you who don’t know me, I saw Titanic 8 times in the theater.  I owned and wore an “I Love Leo” shirt.  I went to a psychic who told me in my previous life I was a passenger on the Titanic and I asked “Was I in Steerage?”

shes-all-that-1-1I think I can speak for all of us when I say, the moment Laney Boggs walks down the stairs after her makeover, I stopped breathing.  Remember how she used to have a PONYTAIL? The horror! Then she tweezed her unibrow and VOILA she was one hot ticket.

I mean…this is the ultimate.  Too bad I had to realize that I don’t look like nor have the body of Kate Hudson to pull this dress off.  But when she walks out of that apartment building I literally died.  I also believed I would be a cool columnist for YM or Seventeen Magazine when I grew up.  Thanks Kate Hudson for giving me unrealistic expectations.

Ciao!
