Cindy Crawford: The OG Of Supermodels

Hi Friends!

The release of  Zoolander 2 has got my brain thinking about Supermodels. In 2016, it’s totally cool to be a Supermodel again. Thanks Kendall and Gigi. When I was little there was really only one Supermodel that mattered. Her name was Cindy Crawford. My sister mimicked her beauty mark and my mother exercised to her VHS workout video.

She’s still one of the most beautiful women around. Have you seen her lately? The woman doesn’t age. It probably has something to do with all those 2:00am skincare infomercials she’s always doing, but hey, it’s obvs working. It probably comes as no surprise that her daughter Kaia is insanely gorgeous and starting to make a name for herself in the fashion world. The power of good genes. Sometimes life just isn’t fair.

Anyyywho, this post is about Cindy and all those incredible runway, magazine cover and MTV’s House Of Style moments I can remember as a young, impressionable little girl.

 Cindy casually drinking Pepsi.

 Cindy giving side eye.

 Cindy lifting weights.

Cindy reporting for MTV’s House Of Style.

Cindy demonstrating the perfect bushy eyebrow on cover of Vogue.

Cindy walking the Versace runway. When Versace was cool.

 Cindy loving America.

Cindy being flawless.

 Cindy being so totally 80s.

Cindy in the buff with Stephanie Seymour, Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington and  Tatjana Patitz.

Cindy’s daughter, Kaia wearing a Cindy Crawford sweatshirt.

Is it just me or is the Cindy of yesterday different than the Karlie Kloss of today? Cindy, like most of the supermodels of the 80s and 90s ooze sex appeal. I can’t exactly put my finger on it, it’s just different. Maybe it’s the absence of thigh gap and presence of lip liner.

Until Next Time!
