Transformation Tuesday: Mandy Moore

Hi Friends!

It’s been awhile since I’ve graced you with a Transformation Tuesday post! Today’s honoree is Mandy Moore, a woman whose most recent show, This Is Us, makes myself, my mother and a handful of my girlfriends openly weep – it’s just a really great family show!

Anyways, Mandy has been in all our lives since the golden age of pop music – the late 90s/early 2000s. She kind of got lost in the mix with the developed chest sizes of Britney, Christina and Jessica, but nonetheless gave us hits like Candy, movies like A Walk To Remember and dated the playboy of the era Wilmer Valderrama. Take a look and how much she’s transformed since then.

Enjoy! Love Always, Mandy.

Just a baby with “The Rachel” haircut.

For me-this makeup, hair and hoops define being a girl in 2000.

September 2000

And just like that – she’s goth. In her defense, Avril Lavigne was all the rage.

Not a wax replica, an actual human.

Definitely short and definitely sweet.

Side boob like whoa.

Mandy, your style ADD is giving me anxiety.

Is that Leslie Mann?

Is that Lana Del Rey?

There’s Mandy!

Conclusion: Like most teenage girls, Mandy went through a bit of an identity crisis. This was most definitely exasperated by the fact she had to compete with the likes of other mega pop princesses of the time and unfortunately I think Mandy kind of got lost in the mix. BUT she get’s the last laugh, she managed to go relatively unscathed by scandals AND she’s on the best family show on TV (IMHO).

Until Next Time!
